MANEATINGPLANT is a plant-based restaurant born in the summer of 2018 as a humble tent popup in Torrance, CA. Partners and chefs Candice Tzeng and Phil Kwan co-created MANEATINGPLANT with the desire to share the authentic flavors and nostalgic memories of their roots that span from Taiwan and Japan to Hong Kong and Malaysia while offering their unique plant-based perspective to the community. In 2021, MANEATINGPLANT launched their school bus food truck, Olive the Magic Food Bus, that currently serves communities from Los Angeles to the Inland Empire as well as having their homebase and test kitchen in Gardena. They just opened up their first brick and mortar at the brand new Topanga Social food hall at the Westfield Topanga mall in Canoga Park.
